I am a pediatric oncologist with a special interest in novel therapies for children with cancer. My laboratory is located at the St. Anna Children's Cancer Research Institue. It focuses on the pathobiology of Langerhans Cell Histioytosis, is a histiocytic disorder that occupies a characteristic hybrid position between cancer and inflammatory disease, which makes it an attractive model for studying cancer development. Our goal is to chart a roadmap of the factors that drive this disase in order to provide the basis for new treatment options.
